It was pretty cool. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. You can hear some of the wind in the videos. The dogs had a great time. There’s a sign that says no dogs allowed on beach but we saw two ladies walking two Chihuahuas and the police road up on ATV’s and waved to us. So no sweat…until the homeless guy stripped down to his underwear and dipped in the cove the dogs were drinking from. Nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (they didn’t drink much…we were on them.)
Poor Sammie developed a hematoma in her ear and had to have it drained through surgery before her ear was damaged with a blood clot, scar tissue, or something worse. The vetrinarian really took good care of her and sent her home with all kinds of steroids and pain killers to aid in her recovery. The next post could be scenes from an intervention? =) I feel sorry for her…she’s very uncomfortable and probably still under the effects of the general anethesia. Poor girl…at least she gets to spend a few bonus days with me since I’m taking time off of work to make sure she doesn’t chew her ear off.
Dillon Beach is an awesome Dog Park in Dillon Beach, CA. It’s near Bodega Bay. We had a really good time. There’s lots of dogs and it’s pretty much free reign. I got a few good pictures and these videos.
The dogs looked pretty cute sleepin’ on their bed by my computer and I had to take a picture. The first one woke Bauer up, which I nailed with the second picture.
Rancho Seco is a really nice park. It’s hard to believe Rancho Seco used to be an active power plant but the two touring silos blocking out the sky clear up all doubt. There was lots of real estate for us to carve out our spot and do our thing. We had a cool little barbecue and then played frisbee till the dogs were worn out.
Patso is the biggest cat I’ve ever seen. He’s a monster. I had to get a picture of him and post it here. He’s an eater. He’s always on the prowl for food. The amazing thing is how fast this cat is, given his size.
This was an awesome San Diego beach day where the dogs wore themselves out chasing that yellow frisbee around. Bauer is a pretty crazy swimmer and Sammie is of course, a natural.
Shitty made herself comfortable on top of the TV in my office with her chin rested on her bed. How crazy is this? She’s always sitting there where she can stare at me while I do computer work.
